*The California Architects Board (CAB) will conduct an Informational Hearing on
May 23, 2007 to discuss proposed changes to California Code of Regulations (CCR) sections 134 (Architectural Business Names) and 135 (Association).  Full information below:

Memo from the California Architects Board

As part of an ongoing effort to seek input from stakeholders and the professionals it regulates, the California Architects Board (CAB) will conduct an Informational Hearing to discuss proposed changes to California Code of Regulations (CCR) sections 134 (Architectural Business Names) and 135 (Association).

Specifically, CAB is in the process of revising CCR section 134 to provide a performance based requirement for naming architectural business entities tied to the architects' role and responsibility therein; and, abolishing CCR section 135 to close a potential path to increased unlicensed practice.  CAB has scheduled an Informational Hearing as follows:

.  Anyone unable to attend the Informational Hearing may submit comments, in writing, to the attention of Hattie Johnson, Enforcement Officer, at 2420 Del Paso Road - Suite #105, Sacramento, CA 95834.
