The California Building Standards Commission (CBSC) will be
meeting in Sacramento a total of 3 days in January to adopt the next generation of California Codes.

National Code Education Event
Earn CEUs at the 2007 Fire Prevention Institute, Jan. 22-25, 2007, in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This national code education event will cover issues such as fire
protection systems, means of egress, and hazardous materials. Registration is $680.00 for ICC members and $880.00 for nonmembers. Instructional materials, continental breakfast and lunch are included. Registrations are

Improving Disabled Access Compliance
FYI - CALBO News: The Attorney General contacted CALBO requesting their assistance on
improving disabled access compliance in California. The California Attorney General's office sent a survey to CALBO members which was meant to informally help determine the state of affairs pertinent to access
compliance. The questions in the survey attempt to seek information on how to obtain compliance with access laws. CALBO members were encouraged to complete the survey to assist the Attorney General in improving access
compliance throughout our state.
