SB 1476 Chaptered into LawOn Friday, September 29, 2006 SB 1476 was Chaptered into law and was approved by the Governor. The Certified Interior Designer law is now extended out to January 1, 2010
Oct. 12 - California Architect's Board Meeting to discuss CASpThe Californa Architect's Board (CAB) is meeting on October 12, 2006, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Woodbury University, Hensel Hall Boardroom, 7500 Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank. On the agenda is an item marked "H" - Review and ratify Executive Committee's recommendations regarding the Division of the State Architect Certified Access Specialist Program (CASp) and take possible action. Their full agenda is located on their web site at www.cab.ca.gov/pdf/mn_board_mtg_notice.pdf Designers who are interested in CASp and wish to find out what the CAB intentions are, should attend this meeting. As CLCID was an active participant in public hearings to get Certified Interior Designers named and included in the CAS program, it is of great importance to be assured CID's continue to be included.
